A simpler, local Cryptohopper alternative for BTC grid trading

Prices and features checked in July 2026. Always verify current pricing on each vendor's site.

Cryptohopper is a feature-rich cloud platform: a strategy marketplace, copy and social trading, AI-assisted strategies, and, on the top tier, arbitrage and market making, plus a mobile app. To its credit, it is clear about custody: your funds stay on your exchange, connected via API keys with no withdrawal rights requested. As checked in July 2026, plans run from $24.16/mo (Explorer) to $57.50/mo (Adventurer) and $107.50/mo (Hero) at annual billing (about 20% more billed monthly), with a 3-day free trial on the Explorer plan.

CryptoBot Pro is deliberately the opposite of feature-rich. It is a desktop app for Windows, Linux and macOS that runs one strategy (a BTC/USDC spot grid with completed BUY → SELL cycles) on your own exchange account. Because it runs on your own machine rather than in a cloud, your API keys stay in local files and are never sent to a third-party server. And instead of a marketplace of strategies with varied results, there is one strategy with the maintainer's live, fee-adjusted track record published on the site.

Which one fits you?

Choose Cryptohopper if…

  • You want a strategy marketplace and copy/social trading rather than configuring your own.
  • You want to trade many coins with many bots: up to 75 coins and 65 bots on the top tier.
  • You want AI strategies, arbitrage, or market making in one platform.
  • You want a cloud bot running 24/7 and a mobile app, without keeping a PC on.
  • The $24–$108/mo tiers fit the breadth of what you trade.

Choose CryptoBot Pro if…

  • You only want one disciplined BTC/USDC grid, not a marketplace of strategies.
  • You want your API keys on your own machine, not in a platform's cloud.
  • You prefer $5.99/mo (or $49.99/year) over $24+/mo tiers, with every feature included.
  • You want 90 days to test instead of 3, against a published fee-adjusted live track record.
  • You are in the EU and want a MiCA-regulated venue (Bitvavo) with native BTC-USDC.
