BTC/USDC grid bot settings, computed from your risk profile

Checked against 2,702 completed cycles of our own bot, Dec 19, 2025 to Aug 21, 2026. Educational tool, not financial advice.

Every field in the CryptoBot Pro configuration screen answers one question: how far below the price do you buy (Buy Threshold), how far above do you sell (Sell Threshold), when do you give up on a buy the market ran away from (Buy Max Days, Buy Max Price Deviation), how much capital goes into each order (% of capital, Adaptive Order), and how often the bot acts (New / Update tasks in the Plan page). This calculator fills all of them from your exchange, the BTC price and your capital, plus a risk profile. Fee, Adaptive Order, base spread and fill-time factor are pre-filled and editable.

Companion tool: Project the compounding, what a monthly yield scenario turns into over years of deposits and reinvestment.

Starting spread of the Balanced profile before the fee adjustment: it is your own setting, and 1.27% is the median spread of our cycles.

Sets Buy Max Days ≈ K × (buy threshold %)² days; 0.53 is the median measured on our cycles (0.30 to 0.85 by exchange and grid size), so raise it if your buys often expire before they fill.

Recommended settings —

Apply in the app: Configuration → your exchange card (thresholds, max days, deviation, % of capital, Adaptive Order) · Plan → one New task and one Update task on that exchange.

The five profiles side by side

“Coverage” is the price drop your capital can keep buying through before the reserve is empty. “Fees/gross” is the share of each cycle's spread that exchange fees eat.

Recommended schedule (Plan page)

The New task opens a fresh buy at the current price minus the Buy Threshold: its frequency is your capital deployment rate, which is where the real risk lives. The Update task checks fills, recycles expired buys and places the sell order after a buy fills — running it rarely delays every sell, so keep it frequent on any active exchange.

How the numbers are computed

The model is checked against our own live data: 2,702 completed cycles between Dec 19, 2025 and Aug 21, 2026, on Hyperliquid, Binance, Kraken and MEXC (plus a handful on Bitvavo and Aster). The median cycle had a 1.27% spread (about $900) and closed 0.94 days after its buy was placed. Four rules produce everything you see:

  1. Spread (Buy + Sell Threshold) starts from your base spread (1.27% of the BTC price by default, the median of our cycles), widened when exchange fees would eat more than 15% of it:
    spread% = max(base spread%, round-trip fees% / 0.15) × risk multiplier (0.6 → 1.6)
  2. Buy Max Days follows first-passage scaling: the typical (median) time a random price path needs to travel a distance grows with the square of that distance.
buy max days = K × (buy threshold as % of price)², clamped to [0.1, 2], rounded to 0.1 day (the app field's step)
We grouped our completed cycles with a usable fill time by exchange and grid size (9 groups of 30 cycles or more): in each group the median buy filled after K × (buy threshold %)² days, with K from 0.30 to 0.85 and a median of 0.53, the default. It gives a buy about the median fill time of comparable buys before it is recycled. Buys recycled before filling are not in that sample, so the true median runs longer: if your buys often expire before they fill, raise K.
  3. Buy Max Price Deviation keeps the odds constant at any scale: for a random walk, a buy fills before the price runs ~6× the entry distance the other way about 5 times out of 6, whatever the grid size.
    deviation% = 6 × buy threshold %, clamped to [1, 10]
  4. Sizing funds a chosen drawdown coverage — one buy roughly every half-spread of falling price, from −10% (very aggressive) to −45% (very conservative). With Adaptive Order enabled, the app halves order sizes when most capital is free, so the recommended % is doubled to hit the same target order.

Not financial advice. This calculator is an educational tool. It encodes how we configure our own bot and nothing more. Grid strategies hold BTC between buy and sell: in a sustained downtrend you can and will show unrealized losses that completed-cycle profit does not capture. Past performance of our live setup is not indicative of future results. See the Terms of Sale for the full risk disclosure.

Fees note. Default fee values for Hyperliquid (0.04%), Binance (0.10%) and MEXC (0%) are the medians measured on our own completed cycles (1,081, 942 and 196 cycles). Kraken's 0.40% is its current published entry-tier maker rate (Kraken fee tiers page, September 2026); our latest Kraken fills (August 2026) were billed 0.40%, and our other Kraken cycles paid 0.25% per side (median of 478 completed cycles). KuCoin, Aster and Bitvavo defaults are published rates as of July 2026, since we have too few cycles there to measure: verify yours and edit the field.
